During the International Congress for Conservation Biology's meeting in July, the Society for Conservation Biology awarded CHN Board Member Eleanor Sterling the SCB's 2013 Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Sterling, director of the American Museum of Natural History's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation, was presented with this—the society's highest honor—for her “extraordinary contributions to the conservation of biological diversity… and to teaching, mentoring and inspiring a whole generation of conservation biologists from all over the world.” Read More »
