The History and Philosophy of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
This project explores the history and philosophy of the science of evolutionary biology and ecology (particularly the development of the concept of an ecosystem). The aim of this inquiry is to focus and enrich our understanding of the relationship between evolutionary biology, ecology, and other branches of the life sciences, especially biodiversity conservation and agriculture, including the ethical and civic worldviews that these interconnected disciplines inform.
