Jake Berlin is a Founder and Managing Partner at Rethink Energy, a group focusing on informing New Jersey citizens and decision makers about the need for a swift transition to renewable energy and reduction in fossil fuel use.
Prior to his current role, Jake was a Build Smart NY Project Specialist at the New York Power Authority, where he worked to Governor Cuomo's Executive Order requiring all New York state agencies to reduce their energy use by 20% by the year 2020. He was Director of Business Development with Willdan Energy Solutions, an energy efficiency consulting firm, and the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Rentricity, a cleantech company focused on providing energy recovery solutions to the water industry. He served as the first Executive Director of the Woodlawn Community Development Corporation and on the board of Providence CityArts for Youth. Jake holds an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business and a B.A. from Brown University, and originally hails from Chicago.
