Environmental Graphiti at Brushwood Center
Through July 30, 2017
Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Sundays 1–3 p.m.
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods, Deerfield, IL
View the Center's Artist of the Month, Alisa Singer's, most recent exibit of Environmental Graphiti – ART from the SCIENCE of Climate Change at Brushwood Center.
Environmental Graphiti uses contemporary art to enhance public awareness about the science of climate change. Each of the 50+ digital paintings uses as its "blueprint" a graph, chart, map, word or number relating to a key fact about climate change. Once viewers understand that each piece is derived from a key indicator or fact about climate change, they are intrigued and become more engaged with both the art and the underlying message.
You can read much more about Singer and her work in the Center's Vol. 10, No. 1 issue of Minding Nature.
