Juliana DeVries

Juliana DeVries began a three month internship in the Center’s New York office this month. She graduated with a B.A. in May 2011 from Columbia University, where she studied political theory, focusing her coursework on sustainability and minority rights issues. During her undergraduate study, she had the chance to study abroad in Istanbul, Turkey, as well as work at several news organizations, including a daily newspaper in Turkey and Dissent Magazine in New York. During her internship Juliana will be doing research for a new Center project on the ethics of place and the ethics of care with Bruce Jennings and also doing editorial work for Minding Nature. She plans to pursue graduate study next year.
